Reynobond® Architecture is a composite panel consisting of two coil-coated aluminium sheets fusion bonded to both sides of a polyethylene core.
For architectural purposes, Reynobond® Architecture is particularly suitable for interior furnishing and designing façades. The advantages are apparent for large-area applications, which place exceptionally high demands on evenness and stiffness.
In addition to Reynobond® Architecture the Reynolux® Building range of Alcoa Architectural Products also offers stove-enameled aluminium sheeting, which is lighter than other materials but still weatherproof and dimensionally stable. The combination of Reynobond® Architecture and Reynolux® Building gives projects a completely new dimension, since the two products complement each other perfectly. Manufactured at the same coil-coating plant, their colours are always certain to be identical. Hence a facade can be cladded with harmonious designs but different materials, thereby gaining benefits in terms of both design and cost.
These aluminium composite panels are 1750 mm or 2000 mm wide. This opens up new design possibilities for architects and metal workers.
With a thickness of 3 mm, Reynobond® XXL is as strong as 2 mm lacquered aluminium but has only 60 % of its weight, and as strong as 10 mm rigid PVC foam but almost half the weight. Moreover, Reynobond® XXL permits optimum use of horizontal digitally controlled surface cutting and milling machines. Optimum material utilization, less offcut, and reduced fabrication costs per square metre.
Reynobond® Architecture is available in the following surface ranges:
STANDARD: With the wide range of standard surfaces stylish monochrome elegance can easily be achieved. Several finishes for coatings can be chosen: matt, satin or high gloss. All colours on the RAL colour chart are of course available.
METALS Natural: For architectural aesthetics, METALS Natural offer a range of new composite panels with zinc and stainless steel finishes. These new materials permit curves, angles, and other design elements that cannot be implemented with heavier panels and are ideal for interior and outdoor walls.
BRUSHED Aluminium: Elegant clarity – the BRUSHED Aluminium surfaces reflect this trend in architecture and design. They have the typical sheen of aluminium, which shows its full effect as the light and angle changes. BRUSHED Aluminium is available with a brushed structure in gold, copper or stainless look and several selected patina shades applied to the aluminium surface of brushed aluminium, gently reflecting light.
EFFECTS: By using EFFECTS designs get that special touch, all the advantages of Reynobond® aluminium composite panels or Reynolux® aluminium sheeting included.
The interplay of light, reflection, material and absorption induce ever-changing effects, effectively highlighting any building. You can choose from a wide variety of colours like Chameleon and colours with sparkling or anodized effects, available with different sheen finishes, colour gradients and colour depths.
NATURAL Design: The extended NATURAL DESIGN range of surfaces offers architects yet greater choice of natural metal and mineral surfaces with the original textures. Containing 21 colours, the range includes four granite versions, various mineral colour shades, as well as warm sandstone and modern zinc and copper finishes. With the same textures as their originals, these surfaces impress by their natural look and effects under light.
WOOD Design: WOOD Design is hardly distinguishable from real wood, but has all the advantages of Reynobond® aluminium composite panels and Reynolux® aluminium sheeting. Reynobond® WOOD Design’s flexibility and formability mean that it can be used to create curves and 3-D elements, which are difficult to do with real wood or other imitations.
You can choose between four colour systems with Reynobond® Architecture and Reynolux® Building:
DURAGLOSS® was developed by us as a high-performance coating based on polymer resin. It offers serious resistance to wear and tear, salt, moisture, and UV rays. DURAGLOSS® comes in gloss levels of 3 % to 80 % (by comparison: only 20 % to 30 % with PVDF). Many of the colours are also available with surfaces in a powder-coated look. DURAGLOSS® is not just available in every RAL colour – it can be mixed any individual shade required. There is a choice from special surfaces, such as Antique Copper, Zinc, Chameleon Colours, Wood and Granite Design.
All DURAGLOSS® coatings are, in accordance with current needs, available as special solutions for specific usages as Anti-Graffiti, Anti-Scratch or EcoClean™.
PVDF 70/30 coating: This coating is considered the standard for high-performance coatings in the construction industry. It is ideally suited to aggressive environments and extreme climatic conditions.
Polyester coating: This coating is very flexible and highly resistant to weather conditions.
Polyester-polyamide coating: All the benefits of polyester plus outstanding scratch resistance.
